Dear Members of
the NOHL,
August is here,
and hockey season is rapidly approaching.
After meeting with the CCYHA, the Night Owl Hockey League
is tentatively
slated to begin Friday, September 19th. We are looking forward to
your participation and another great
year of hockey. The
game schedule has a
new look for ’08-’09. We
will still
play once a week. Possible
game times
are Friday’s @ 9:15pm; Sunday’s @ 7:00pm and Sunday’s @ 8:15pm. We hope the earlier times
will be a welcome
change!
Please print and
complete all forms and return to the CCYHA (attn.
NOHL), address listed above. The
cost
for this season will be offered at the same rate as last year only to
those
willing to pay 100% by September 15th. That rate is $275 for the
NOHL portion. For
those not paying in full by the season’s start, the cost will
be $300. Just an
FYI ~ the league fees
have been held for four years now, while ice costs have risen 3% each
year. Please make
your check payable to
the CCYHA or pay with your credit card via PayPal on the website listed
above.
Please be aware, ALL PLAYERS MUST
REGISTER THEMSELVES
WITH USA HOCKEY. This
is a $35 fee and
is mandatory
for participation. In
years past CCYHA
has done this for you including the fee into your registration. No longer, as even the
youth players must do
their own registration.
To register,
visit the following website: http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/ Your registration
confirmation must be
included with your registration forms or emailed to nohl@zoominternet.net
or you will not
be permitted on the ice.
The only “payment
plan” available this
year is by signing up for the automatic withdrawal option via PayPal on
the CCYHA
website.
It is the unfortunate result of the lack
of responsibility of a select few individuals. If you will have
difficulty adhering to the new guidelines please
feel free to contact myself or Mike Moore to set up special
arrangements in
confidence.
New players are
welcome to enter the NOHL, but must be approved and placed specifically
by NOHL
Commissioners. Last
year we made
efforts to improve the NOHL structure, and we will continue to do the
same this
year. Special
consideration will be
made to better ensure fairness between teams.
The NOHL, in association with the CCYHA, has attempted to
provide a
structured league for novice adult hockey players of varying abilities,
which
is no easy task. The
NOHL has always
been a work in progress, and will continue as such.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or
concerns. Thank
you, and looking
forward to seeing you all on the ice!
Sincerely,
Jamie Triola
